Come away, slow down and make space for God

Sometimes we just need to step away from the busyness of everyday life.

Our themed residential retreats are for Christians who would love a little time away in beautiful surroundings, with space to breathe, reflect, enjoy good company and, most importantly, spend time with God.

Each retreat has its own theme, gently woven through the devotional sessions and creative activities, while still leaving plenty of room for you to simply be. You can join in as much or as little as you like.

Your retreat includes:

A beautiful place to stay

Choose from one of our boutique ensuite bedrooms or our cosy one-bedroom cottage, for a relaxing two- or three-night stay.

Delicious home-cooked food

Enjoy a freshly prepared à-la-carte breakfast each morning, lunch and a tasty home-cooked evening meal. There’s no meal planning, shopping or washing up to worry about!

Time to explore and reflect

There’s plenty of personal space and free time to read, walk, create, pray, rest or simply do absolutely nothing for a while.

Gentle, themed devotional sessions

Each morning begins with a led small group devotional or teaching session connected to the retreat theme, giving you an opportunity to pause, listen and explore what God might be saying to you.

Your own creative space

Art materials are available throughout your stay, whether you’re an experienced artist or someone who hasn’t picked up a paintbrush since school!

Access to RightNow Media

You’ll be given personal access to RightNow Media, the world's largest online library of Christian video resources, including Bible studies, devotionals, courses and discipleship materials for you to use on your return home.

A quiet place to relax

Make yourself at home in our private gardens, guest lounge or reading nook – a cosy space to curl up with a book, enjoy a cuppa or simply sit and think.

Optional personal prayer

If you would appreciate someone praying with you during your stay, an optional personal prayer session is available.

Time to have fun too!

Retreat doesn't have to mean being serious all the time! Depending on the retreat, there may be opportunities for board games, social time or a Christian-themed film.

Something to take home

You'll receive a little devotional gift to remind you of your time away.

And sometimes… we get creative!

Some of our three-night retreats include an Art SOZO or Creative Ministry session.

Art SOZO is a gentle, creative way of exploring what is going on in our hearts and connecting our emotions with the heart of God. Through painting, we can sometimes get beyond the things that make it difficult to express what we're feeling and allow God's truth to speak to us in a different way.

Creative Ministry uses guided creative activities inspired by the retreat theme. You’ll have the opportunity to experiment with different art materials and explore how creativity can become a way of having a two-way conversation with God.

And don't worry if the thought of creating art fills you with horror! 😄

No artistic experience is needed. These sessions aren't about producing something beautiful or getting it 'right'. They're simply an opportunity to relax, explore and see where creativity takes you.

There’s plenty to discover beyond the retreat too

If you fancy venturing out during your free time, we can also help you make the most of the local area, with transport provided where necessary.

Wild swimming & sauna – take a refreshing dip at Pool Bridge Farm, followed by a warm-up in the sauna.

Stillingfleet Lodge Gardens – explore these beautiful gardens, open on selected days from April to September.

Countryside walks – step straight into the surrounding countryside for peaceful, contemplative walks and a chance to enjoy the changing seasons.

Come as you are

There’s no pressure to join everything, meet everyone or make the most of every minute.

You can be sociable or quiet. Creative or completely uncreative. Out walking or curled up with a book.

The retreat is for you.

Come away for a few days, make some space, and see what happens when you give yourself time to slow down and listen.

You Are Not Defined By Your Past

your story is still unfolding

Your past may explain you but it does not define your future.

So many of us carry labels, regrets, disappointments, wounds, or experiences that have shaped how we see ourselves. Some are the result of our own choices; others have been placed upon us by circumstances beyond our control. But what if there is more to your story?

Join us for a gentle, reflective retreat exploring the freedom that comes from letting go of the things that have held us back and stepping into a renewed sense of purpose, hope and identity. Discover how the past can inform us without imprisoning us, and how we can move forward with confidence, peace and expectation for the future.

Throughout the retreat, you'll have plenty of time to reflect on the themes shared each morning, spend time with the Lord, enjoy walks in the beautiful countryside, relax in our peaceful gardens and quiet spaces, or simply rest.

Whether you're seeking healing, clarity, restoration, or simply space to breathe and reflect, this retreat offers an opportunity to reconnect with who you truly are and embrace what lies ahead.

An Art SOZO is included as part of the experience on this retreat.

Crisp mornings. Golden leaves. Cosy evenings. A slower pace.

Autumn invites us to pause — to notice the changing season around us and perhaps the changing seasons in our own lives.

This retreat is a chance to step away from the busyness of everyday life, enjoy the beauty of autumn and spend some unhurried time with God.

Together, we’ll explore changing seasons, God’s provision and what it means to embrace where we are now, while gently looking towards what may come next.

There’ll be time for Scripture, prayer, reflection, peaceful countryside walks, good food and plenty of space simply to be.

You don’t need to have everything figured out or know what the next season holds.

Just come, breathe, receive and enjoy the beauty of this one.

A time to pause.

A time to give thanks.

A time to be refreshed.

🍁 Come and spend a few peaceful days with God, surrounded by the beauty of autumn.

A Creative Ministry session and a Guided Contemplative Walk are included on this retreat.
